How quick is an Omelette?
Okay, I have to have lunch ready for two of us about 10 minutes after I have written this quick recipe tip! Omelettes are easy, tasty, very, very quick and should NOT have milk in them! Got it?
Here we go.
Chop a couple of slices of ham, grate a handful of nice cheddar (something like Davidstow is good if you are limited to a supermarket) and finely chop a couple of tablespoons of parsley. Put a large non stick pan on a medium heat to heat up. Beat 3 eggs (for one person) in a bowl. If you are feeding two people use two bowls, darling! Chuck in the now hot pan a large chunk of butter and twirl the pan round to melt the butter and spread it. Once melted, pour the eggs into the hot pan.
With a fork, stir the contents round, exposing bare frying pan and letting raw egg fill the holes. With a bit of practice you will find that you can make an omelette in this way in around 30 seconds or so. Before the top of the omelette is set, put in some ham, cheese and parsley and season.
Fold over and put on a plate. Take the fork and eat it!
Voila!
